St. Oswald's Church and Hall, Old Swan.
Some years ago, whilst clearing ground for a new building, and despite assurances to the contrary, human remains were uncovered at a site behind the church hall.
The church now stands on a dual carriageway, which joins the Old Swan junction to edge Lane. At one time the road narrowed by the church to a two-way road into Old Swan.
