Ranelagh Street looking down past Lewis's department store on the left towards Church Street junction just past Central station.
Just after the war the area to the right of this picture was waste ground which was used by various 'entertainers'. I remember a man escaping from chains and another bending nails.

Ranelagh Street takes it's name from the 18th century Ranelagh Gardens in Chelsea London.
