Lord street originally Molyneux Lane or Lord Molyneux Street. Molyneux had a house on the north side of Lord Street. It was demolished to enable Commerce Court to be built. This building, as was most of Lord Street, was destroyed during the Second World War. Lord Street has since been rebuilt into a Street lined with shops of all types.
