Mathew Street home of the Cavern Club. The original Club was in the basement of a Victorian warehouse. The Club featured many of the now familiar names such as:
Cilla Black, Swinging Blue Jeans, Billy J Kramer, P J Proby, Gerry and the Pacemakers and of course The beatles. The original Cavern was demolished in 1973. The present building containing the new Cavern Club was erected in 1984.
