These two stores have taken the site of Woolworths that stood here until recently. It was outside Woolworths that a brass cross was inset into the pavement to commemorate St Peter's Church that stood originally on the site.
The brass cross is still there. It can be just be seen between and behind the two benches as a lighter shading in the pavement.
